These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Lighthouse ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using Lighthouse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Lighthouse is an AI-powered monitoring platform that allows users to deploy automated agents ("Beacons") that scan online sources, detect changes, and deliver structured intelligence briefings.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use Lighthouse. By using the service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@lighthouse.fyi if you suspect unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Lighthouse operates on a credit-based billing model.
One credit is consumed each time a Beacon completes a full scan and analysis cycle. Credits are non-transferable and, unless otherwise stated, expire at the end of each billing period.
Stripe handles all payment processing; by subscribing you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
We offer a pro-rata refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied. After 7 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer law.

Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Lighthouse, you consent to that collection and use.
You retain ownership of any data you input into Lighthouse. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the service.
Lighthouse uses large language models (including Anthropic Claude) to generate briefings, summaries, and recommendations. You acknowledge that:
Lighthouse, its design, code, and branding are owned and operated by Lighthouse. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of our intellectual property.
You retain all rights to content you create using Lighthouse. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store and process your content to operate the service.
Lighthouse integrates with third-party services including Anthropic, Stripe, and Clerk. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular sources will be accessible or monitored successfully.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lighthouse, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service or breach of these Terms.
You may cancel your account at any time via the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, with or without notice.
On termination, your access to the service ceases. We may retain your data for up to 30 days before deletion, except where retention is required by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland for any dispute arising out of these Terms.
